When Eduard Korthals began his journey with Griffons in the late 1800's, his aim was to breed sound dogs of good temperament, intelligence, trainability who would willingly hunt in all weather conditions over all terrains with his walking partner. The dog must have a firm point, a good nose, a love of water and a coat that can resist thorns and brambles.
My journey with Griffons began in 1995 with a lot of research to find just the right dog and in 1997 purchased my first Griff and founded Razorsedge Kennel. My breeding program keeps Korthals' aims in mind as well as the breed standard and has produced numerous hunt tested dogs as well as many just good old hunting and companion dogs. I have in the last few years started showing and have had success with Millie: # 1 Griff in Canada for 2007 and # 2 for 2008 and has since produced 2 beautiful litters.
